GANS has experience in transitioning functions between units of implementing new functions within ATS units.

One example is the relocation of an Approach function from one adjacent unit to an Air Traffic Services Unit where GANS provides the function.

This project was achieved within accelerated timescales as the adjacent unit indicated that they wanted the Controller Working Position occupied by the Approach function earlier than had previously been stated. GANS facilitated the request and was able to successfully transition the Approach function to the GANS unit within the accelerated timescale. The project included technical, operational, training, and regulatory elements, including Technical Letters of No Objection (LONOs) and AMC-25 approvals.

Another example was the transition of the Air Traffic Control function at a military airfield being replaced by ATC operating in full compliance with civil regulations.
